Major Construction Nears Completion on the Therapy Garden

October 11, 2020 by Shannon

Like many people, we’ve overcome many obstacles in 2020 with the Therapy Garden.  From needing to move the rock to scheduling with other construction happening at the VA Hospital.  Our dedicated board members have been working diligently to finish the garden.   Late in the Summer we started work with the Master Gardeners for the greenery in the garden.  We’ve also gotten a commitment from the Master Gardner’s to help organize their volunteers to spread mulch as part of their annual community service.

The Board decided, based on the availability of plant materials, to push the planting back to the Spring of 2021.  We’re expecting most of the flat work to be finished this fall and the garden should be finished early summer of 2021.

Please take a look at our progress!
